Brasserie du Sud in Frankfurt

Perfect place to enjoy an afternoon Aperol in the sun. Food is also very good, though the prices are definitely a step higher (albeit understandably) relative to what you'd pay for the same in France.

Classic in Sachsenhausen. Great terrace that has almost always sun. A nice ambience inside too. The food is always delicious and typically French. The bouillabaisse is very tasty and the fillings are really first class. Not cheap but totally adequate.

Vive la france! Not only do you think twice about going into a restaurant in these difficult times, no, you want to be able to say, when you do, that it was worth it. And it was the case in the Brasserie du Sud. An inviting outdoor area with nice little tables, nicely spaced apart, give rise to a Parisian feeling due to the location of the restaurant. Even through the mask you immediately notice the friendly nature of the charming service staff. A quick look at the menu also gives the impression of being in a French coastal town. Delicious fish and meat specialties. Without further ado, we decide for the recommended mussels in white wine sauce with french fries. We weren't promised too much. Incredibly delicious moules frites, in a rarely seen color and size, let us melt away. In addition, the excellent wine recommendation and the restaurant visit will be a complete success. Oh yes, there are radiant heaters on the terrace so that you can continue to enjoy these dishes without feeling uneasy. We have found our new oasis of wellbeing and are already looking forward to our next visit.

The tartare was excellent, not a lot but really good, the snails super good and the mussels too!

I'm going to take off Corona. Wines ok and good PL ratio. Service very good. The kitchen lacks something special, the whistle, the extra. I can make my own salad with turkey breast. Nothing special, 18 € is required .... Grrrrr. Sorry but there is a need for action.

Prices too high, both the quality and the quantity of the dishes do not correspond to these. At first it wasn't, but lately (before Corona) it was. For example, the amount of tartare corresponded to the size of a PingPong ball, with lots of greenery as a set for almost 20 euros does not have to be.

Super service, very tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere including piano player. Vegetarian pasta and steak fries were outstanding. If you fancy a neat evening with French flair, this is the place for you.

The typical brasserie style is well taken care of here and the kitchen really has something on it. The service is very attentive and friendly - only for vegetarians, the map does not really have much to offer.

Very nice french restaurant with a nice service and a menu to cater for variety of diet. Slow. But because of cooking time required. Just don’t go if you are in the rush.

Typically French. Cozy outdoor.eating area with blankets if you get cold! The waitstaff was great and they spoke English. We all had the pot of muscles it was huge we should have shared becase none of us finished them and they were only €19. Also the escargot was delicious too. We had some sort chocolate lava cake with amazing vanilla ice cream with fruit, the strawberries were amazing!!! I cannot believe that they were out of season and they were so delicious.

Went there for lunch, had the "mittags menu": very good value for money, friendly service oriented staff, and food served timely.

Mega service and very great food! Not many dishes on the menu but very well prepared. Price is not cheap but we liked it more than all the very attentive staff! We will definitely come back and I will recommend this place to others from the heart.

Service could be better

The place offers french cuisine but it didn't quite feel very french. Food is good but the price you pay is too high for what you get. Paid around 35euro for a decent rissoto with lamb.

Sat down on the terrace on a weekday and ordered the daily lunch menu. Despite only a few tables being occupied we waited over half an hour for the tiny starter and more than an hour and a half for the main course. My partner actually had to leave before the main to get back to the office. Food is nice but not worth the wait.

Pretentious. Incompetent. Poor value. It took half an hour to serve a canapé size spoonful of pate with a pre-bagged salad. Then an hour for an apologetic, poorly presented 'daily menu' chicken dish that it could not possibly be a suprise that anyone ordered. A half attended seating area fully overwhelmed the wait staff, who were too absent to even complain to. Useless for a business lunch due to sloth, and undesireable for private dining due to quality.

We were here for breakfast. To make sure that we got a place I had reserved. The breakfast menu is clear and like the entire menu with a French touch. The Parisian breakfast: 1 piece of baguette, 1 crosissant, butter and jam is offered at a price of € 5.20. Fromage (3 slices of sliced ​​cheese) € 4.40 and egg dishes for € 4.50. The dining room and the terrace are furnished with great attention to detail. The staff tries hard, but the communication is unfortunately poor. The omelette ordered with everything (tomato, mushrooms, cheese, and ham) came with a little ham and cheese. When asked, the cellar wanted to ask, but gave us no feedback. Another employee told us when we asked mushrooms are out. Our waiter then offered us a greeting from the kitchen as compensation. If we still have a wish. Croissants and chocolate croissants were unfortunately out. A fruit plate was the second choice. This was then charged to us. After an in-depth conversation, this was deducted from our bill.

Had a wonderful goat cheese salad on their sunny southwest facing terrace. Nice staff but not at all french speaking as you might have expected in this French style restaurant.
